Senior Night for Tullahoma Wrestling
GRAY DEYOSports Writer
The Tullahoma Wrestling team put forward an impressive win, beating Lincoln County 77-6 on Jan. 7. The decisive win could not have come on a better night either, as the Wildcats celebrated senior night.
The Wildcats gained a quick advantage in the match with five straight wins by pins coming from Grayson Hartman, Lucas Willete, Nolan Stroop, Corbin Avans, and Jakoby Hill. Tullahoma went on to get five more pins in the match which came from Chandler Kile, Carson Avans, Bob Tatum, Jordan Frye, and Memphis Oswald. The Wildcats had the momentum early, and never let it slip into the Faclons’ grasp once for the entirety of the match. The real highlight for the Wildcats however was not earned in the heat of the competition against Lincoln County, but rather before the match even started.
Nine seniors walked down with friends and family as their four-year career as a part of the Tullahoma wrestling team is soon to come to an end. Memories, accomplishments, and lifelong friendships are just a few of the things that Prudence Peterson, Justin Frank, Bradey Hansen, Nolan Stroop, Jacoby Hill, Lane Johnson, Chandler Kile, Carson Avans, and Bob Tatum will all take with them from their years spent on the THS wrestling team.
They are currently gearing up for their final stretch of the season, but even when it officially comes to an end, and the nine of them go their separate ways,
Once you are a part of the Tullahoma wrestling team, you are forever a member of the team.
