The We Care Committee of Tullahoma will present the Martin Luther King Jr. Day event which will begin with the annual march in memory of the fallen civil rights leader Monday morning.
Cancelled last year due to a major snow storm and temperatures barely above zero, organizers hope for better conditions this year when the march stepped off from C.D. Stamps Community Center at 810 South Jackson Street at 8 a.m., Monday, Jan. 20. Marchers will assemble at C.D. Stamps just before 8 a.m. for a few words and then the group will walk down Jackson to Tullahoma City Hall before returning to C.D. Stamps. A breakfast will be held at 9 a.m. at C.D. Stamps and then prayer will be held at 10 a.m. A service will begin at 11 a.m. with keynote speaker Randall Smith.
The public is urged to participate in the march and the events at C.D. Stamps.
