Fifteen new businesses opened in Tullahoma during the last month, making December 2024 by far the most successful December for business openings in many years.

The openings also made 2024 by far the most successful year for new businesses in Tullahoma in recent years as comparisons showed 103 new businesses opening through 2024 as compared to 60 during the same period in 2023, 56 in 2022, 53 in 2021, 57 in 2020 and 39 in 2019. And, should the pace continue through the end of the fiscal year in June, Tullahoma will set a new record as the 103 businesses thus far are rivaling the total 136 in 2023.

The 15 new businesses in December dwarfed the numbers from the past few Decembers. There were five in 2023, eight in 2022, four in 2021, two in 2020 and two in 2019. The most successful month in 2024 was September when 26 new businesses opened in Tullahoma.

The new businesses registered in Tullahoma during December 2024 included (it should be noted some of the businesses will not have an actual Tullahoma presence but are required to have a license based upon the value of work they are performing in the Tullahoma city limits):
