City to host Recycle Roundup event

Those looking for a place to bring their recycling can take a stop at Waggoner Park for Tullahoma’s Recycle Roundup Event in March.
City officials announced Friday, Feb. 7 that Tullahoma was teaming up with the Tennessee Environmental Council (TEC) to host a Recycle Roundup Event on Saturday, March 1 at Waggoner Park located at 1300 E. Carroll St., from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. or until the event reaches capacity. The event is free and open to surrounding residents.
“We’d also like to thank our community partners who will be present and accepting recyclables and donations: CFC Recycling and Attic Outlet,” city officials said in a statement. “Tullahoma Public Works will be on-site collecting recyclables and Tullahoma Police will be accepting medications for disposal.”
Also on hand will be 93.9 The Duck who will be doing a live broadcast at the event.
Items that the event will be taking for recycling include: blocks of Styrofoam, tattered socks, electronics, eyeglasses, crayons, cardboard, small batteries, scrap metal, paper, ink cartridges and toner, pet supplies, medical supplies, tires (maximum of eight), mattresses (maximum of two), medications, glass bottles, clothing and shoes.
