Lizzy Sharpton recognized as one of the best class of 2028 players in the state

Freshman Lady Wildcat guard Lizzy Sharpton was mentioned in a list of the top players for Tennessee I Class of 2028 players by Major Moves Media.
“Lizzy earned the recognition due to her talent, work ethic, and commitment to improve. She is such a hard worker and always eager to learn. Her desire to be coached and the commitment to helping our program succeed translated into her having a great season of progress and performance,” said head coach of the THS girls’ basketball program Chad Hibdon.
The freshman Lady Wildcat’s scrappy style of play played an integral role in the 2024-2025 Tullahoma girls’ basketball team winning the district title this year. Even though it’s only her first year her aggression and hustle when she steps on the court was infectious and it rubbed off on her teammates throughout the season and made the group as a whole a better team defensively and overall.
Her offense also took a major leap throughout the season. She began to find her form from the three-point line, as well as her ability to finish around the basket in numerous ways. Sharpton is truly evolving into a Swiss army knife, do-it-all player that will only get sharper with the more games she plays in the coming years.
And although the ‘Cats’ postseason run was cut short in the first round of the regional tournament the play from Sharpton along with a ton of other freshmen that played on Varsity for Tullahoma this year—Kenzie Farrell, Madison McCarl, Addison Vincent, Annabelle Smith, and Zoie Roberts–was super encouraging to show that the success the ‘Cats had this year might just be the start of something good rather than the end.
With her and the other freshmen mentioned, it will certainly not be the last time a class of 2028 Lady Wildcat player gets recognized for their play on the court.
