Trees planted at South Jackson

In celebration of upcoming Tennessee Tree Day, and with the help of the outstanding young ladies of Girl Scout Troop 2163, City Arborist Lyle Russell installed five new trees on the South Jackson Performing Arts Center grounds. Installed were an American Beech, an Appalachian Snow Dogwood, an October Glory Maple, an Autumn Blaze Maple, and an Eastern White Pine.

The pine was potted and used in a stage performance, and is now transferred to a permanent planting on the grounds. The other four trees were purchased as memorial trees in honor of others.
