Senior Isabella Lidstrom made it official that she will continue her volleyball career at the collegiate level. She officially committed to Johnson College in early June.

Lidstrom was a four-year starter for the Lady Wildcats Volleyball team. She was a big part of the team’s success and was a vocal leader throughout her whole tenure with the team. She started on the right side for the Lady Wildcats but transitioned to being an outside hitter for the rest of her time at Tullahoma.

“Izzy developed as an all-around round hitter for us. In her freshman and sophomore seasons, she relied on pure power. Through her junior and senior seasons, she really upped her game, learning to read the opponent’s block, developing her tips and roll shots, and her footwork to run patterns all across the net. She had to because everyone knew where we were going to attack,” said head coach of Tullahoma Volleyball Dan Lynch regarding Lidstrom as a player.

Lidstrom over her career put up impressive stats. In her sophomore, junior, and senior seasons she led Tullahoma in kills. She holds the school records for most kills in a game (27), most in a season (312), and most all-time (833). She was a dynamo attacker that the Lady Wildcats leaned on heavily for their production in points. She also had a strong serve in her repertoire, having 142 aces over her career.

“Izzy lead by example. From her first days playing middle school volleyball until her last practice as a THS Wildcat, she was focused as soon as she hit the court. She is a great student, a great multi-sport athlete, and a great leader and role model. We will miss her more than we can possibly express in words,” Coach Lynch said on what the Tullahoma Volleyball program will miss about not having her next season.

Lidstrom will bring her skills next season to a Royals team that had a great 2024-2025 season. They went 28-7 overall and had a 16-5 conference record. The addition of the Tullahoma native will only help the Johnson volleyball program in their 2025-2026 season.
