From Stage to Sanctuary: Kim Parent to Perform at UU Church
The Unitarian Universalist Church of Tullahoma is excited to announce that Kim Parent will perform during the regular Sunday service on August 10 at 10 a.m. Her husband, Stan Bumgarner, will address the congregation with a message titled “Five Truths to Live By.” The service will be held at 3536 New Manchester Highway, and the public is warmly invited to attend.
You may not have heard of Kim Parent, but it is highly likely you have heard her voice. She has graced the stage and made recordings with artists such as Lionel Ritchie, Christopher Cross, Carole King, Reba McEntire, Brooks and Dunn, Aaron Tippin, Kathy Mattea, Jodee Messina, Trisha Yearwood, Michael McDonald, and many more.
After moving from New Jersey to Nashville to pursue songwriting, Kim became involved in the studio recording industry. She was invited to participate in televised award shows, appear in live video tapings, perform regularly at the Grand Ol’ Opry with the Carol Lee Singers, and serve as a member of the house band for the television show “The Singing Bee.”
Kim has always been enthusiastic about songwriting, even during her busiest periods. Amid the Covid pandemic, she used the downtime to select, record, and release her best new and old songs. To learn more about this professional singer, songwriter, author, and painter, visit kimparent.com.
