King’s Lane townhomes set for December opening

L

The area’s largest homebuilder, Joe Denby of Denby’s J & J Construction, has started development of 19 townhomes on King’s Lane.  Kingsborough by Harper is located at 741 Kings Lane, next door to the Tullahoma Surgery Center.

Denby anticipates completing the $4.5 million project in December.  The townhomes will be listed between $225,000 and $235,000, according to Denby.

Each townhome is 910 sq. ft. and will feature two bedrooms, two baths, brick exterior, concrete driveway, granite countertops, one-car garage, and is one story.  Each townhome has a front porch and back patio.  The complex consists of four buildings. Outside maintenance will be managed by a Homeowners Association.

According to Denby, “There is a market for one-level townhomes in Tullahoma.  Kingsborough by Harper will be ideal for older couples or families wanting to downsize from a larger home.”

Denby has six other projects on the books to be completed in Tullahoma over the next year.

SPOTLIGHT ON SUBDIVISIONS

According to the Tullahoma Planning Department, 18 subdivisions, apartment and townhome developments have been approved by the Tullahoma Planning Commission.  The total housing units proposed is 585.  Not included is the Summerlin project on North Jackson Street, with 996 total units, which recently received financing approval by the city through Tax Increment Financing.

Each week, a different subdivision, apartment or townhome development will be featured by Tullahoma News Business Reporter Lane Curlee.
