The city decided to make it permanent this past week as Samuel Luthi had the interim removed from in front of his name and will now be the Tullahoma Planning and Development director.

“He has served as interim since January and has done a phenomenal job,” Quick said, noting he has talked with aldermen along with business leaders. “Everybody basically came back with ‘he knows his stuff’. He is very well versed in best practices and he must almost have a photographic memory because he can almost get you chapter and verse of just about anything.”

Quick added that Luthi has an extensive knowledge of planning. “I am very confident that he will serve very well as our permanent planning and development director,” Quick said, noting Luthi is in the process of relocating to Tullahoma as he formerly worked in Nolensville. “I believe our future is in very capable hands.”

His confirmation passed unanimously.
