Cline named to Planning Commission
Adam Cline has been appointed to the Tullahoma Planning Commission, replacing long-time member Bill Comer.
The announcement came during the regular meeting of the city board of mayor and aldermen. Mayor Lynn Sebourn pointed to Comer’s years of service before revealing the selection of his replacement.
“Bill Comer has been a long-time public servant and has served for many years as the chairman of the Coffee County Industrial Board and a retired AEDC executive,” the mayor noted. He has been a stalwart in those sort of things.”
With Comer’s departure, the mayor said the selection was made to name Cline as heir to the seat left behind by the long-time public servant.
Along with appointing a new member to the planning commission, the mayor announced a seat is opening on the Tullahoma Utilities Board for a term expiring Aug. 31 of this year. Deadline to apply for the TUA spot was Aug. 15.
Candidates for the position will be presented to the Tullahoma Board of Mayor and Aldermen Monday, Aug. 25, at their next regular meeting. The candidates include Steve Cope, Ray Knowis, Robert Lindeman, Dwight Miller and Darryl Welch.
