Public works has been approved to buy a 2025 curb tender knuckle boom truck with grapple in the amount of $218,797 to help support the city’s curbside collection.
“All I have to say is the name of that item is super cool,” said Mayor Lynn Sebourn upon reading the name of the requested purchase. However, in seriousness, the mayor noted that the machinery will be key to continuing the city’s ability to pick up leaf and brush at curbside.
“The money had already been put in the budget,” the mayor said. “The truck is needed for proper leaf and brush pick up.”
The expenditure passed unanimously.
