An elderly Shelbyville woman who disappeared five months ago has been found deceased inside her car in Normandy Lake.

The woman, Sara Padgett, was reportedly last seen on April 2 of this year and a silver alert was issued a week later. The public was asked to be on the lookout for her blue Nissan Sentra. However, there were no traces of the missing woman until the Shelbyville Police Department had a dive and recover group investigate an area of Normandy Lake near where he cellphone last pinged.

It was during the dive by United Search Corps that her submerged car was found. She was found inside. The TBI has custody of the case.
