Wildcats’ offensive coordinator named assistant coach of the week

A lot of people had a hand in the biggest score put up by a team in the Coffee Pot’s 100-year history. One of those people is no other than the guy calling the plays for the Tullahoma offense, Jared Olive. He was named one of the assistant coaches of the week by the Tennessee Football Coaches Association.
This is Jared Olive’s first year as the game day play caller for Tullahoma. The position was previously held by his brother Caleb Olive. Caleb parted ways with the THS program after landing a head coaching gig at Seymour High School. They are currently 1-1 on the season. This is a solid start for Caleb, as the program has won a combined two games over the last two seasons.
Jared has proven to be a rightful replacement in his new role, with the Wildcats scoring 35 and 57 in their first two weeks of the season. There are weapons scattered all throughout the Tullahoma offense—Marvancy Johnson, Alex Bobo, Lucas Reed, and Zion Jeffery, to name a few—and J. Olive has shown he knows how to utilize and get the most out of these players to be successful. A coach with the last name Olive getting the best out of his players, who would have thought?
Jared said the following on X about being named as one of the assistant coaches of the week.
“Grateful for the effort of our staff and players to build and execute the plan. No entitlement, no comfort this week! Just got to get better day by day!”
He and the Wildcats will have a chance to put up big numbers again, against their next opponent, Cleveland High School. The opposing Blue Raiders have let up an average of 34 points in their two contests.
