Coffee County Bank plans new branch

The landscape in the 500 block of North Jackson Street will be changing dramatically over the next year. Gone will be the car wash and next door what was originally a residence, then a supply store and most recently a salon.
In their places will be the new Tullahoma branch of Coffee County Bank. The Bank is currently located across the street at 511 North Jackson Street.
Carter Sain, President and CEO of the Back, said the project is currently in the design phase. He anticipates construction to take six to nine months on the 3100 square foot branch. Sain said the investment will be $1.5 to $1.8 million. The building will sit on 3/4 acre lot providing more parking spaces than the current site provides.
The two existing buildings on the property, the car wash and salon, will be torn down in early October. Once the new building is complete, the existing approximately 2,000 square foot branch building will be sold according to Sain.
Sain emphasized the branch is not closing but relocating the branch, easing the time frame for regulatory approval.
The Tullahoma branch of Coffee County Bank opened in November 2017 and has since grown to over $20,000,000 in assets.
“We are pleased to be making this investment in Tullahoma,” said Sain. “This is a fantastic location for our bank. Our clients and employees just really need more space. Plus, we are making a statement we want to serve more clients. We believe the new branch building will add to an already attractive main thoroughfare.”
The Tullahoma branch currently has five employees. Sain anticipates adding more employees once the new building is completed. He also anticipates doubling the branches assets over the next five years.
Sain expressed appreciation for the helpful support and co-operation he has received from the Tullahoma City government during preliminary discussions about the project.
Coffee County Bank was founded in Manchester in 1975 and is currently celebrating their 50th anniversary.
