The new TownePlace Suites by Marriott, next door to the Holiday Inn Express, is scheduled to open in December, according to Andy Patel, one of the developers.

The four-story, all-suite hotel is considered an upper mid-scale extended stay brand and has been designed to cater to both short-term and long-term guests.

According to Patel, “The 89 suites provide a home-like atmosphere with full kitchens, separate living areas, and complimentary full, hot breakfast.  Other amenities include a bar in the lobby, free Wi-Fi, business center and on-site laundry.  The suites are also pet friendly.  In addition, the property offers a fitness center and an outdoor pool, while the outdoor patio features a state-of- the-art grilling station and fire pit”

The Tullahoma TownePlace Suites by Marriott is the only property of its kind between Nashville, Huntsville and Chattanooga.

When asked why Tullahoma was selected, Patel said, “Tullahoma is a hidden gem.  We are very thankful to have been welcomed so warmly in your friendly town.  The city staff has been amazing.  Tullahoma represents all the micro trends we looked for when selecting markets that we think will outperform as we enter a new hotel cycle.”

The exterior façade features contemporary architecture with a stone and stucco front exterior.  The developers added a sidewalk along Hoover Lane to connect the property to North Jackson Street.

The property will be managed by Vision Hospitality, the same group that manages the Holiday Inn Express next door.   The developers expect the hotel to employ 15 to 20 persons.
