It was a packed house Thursday night as the Tullahoma Area Chamber of Commerce honored the newest 40 under 40 class at the fifth annual “40 under 40: Recognizing Young Professionals” event.
The chamber welcomed the newest batch of young professionals at the Lakewood Gold & Country Club Thursday, Sept. 18, who were recognized for their various career fields, as well as their impact on the community.
Chamber President James Fuller welcomed and thanked everyone for attending, and thanked the events sponsors, including title sponsor Coffee County Bank, Traders Bank, Woodard’s Diamonds & Design, Good News Magazine, Jack Daniel’s Distillery and Tullahoma Utilities Authority.
“I want to thank each of you for being here today as we honor some amazing young people in our community,” Fuller said. “We have a great list of 40 individuals that we’re going to honor.”
He welcomed Danielle Carew of Coffee County Bank to the podium, who praised these year’s nominees and said they are doing amazing things in their different professions.
“It’s just fabulous to have you, to celebrate you, to know all of the different professions you do, so much community service,” Carew said. “It is noticed. You are loved and appreciated.”
Following the invocation, Fuller welcomed Col. Beverly Lee (USAF. Retired) to lead the honoree recognition ceremony. Before the ceremony, Lee said she was convinced that small cities like Tullahoma, when people connection imagination to action, they could do anything, and that was what both the chamber and the 40 honorees embody.
“I’m reminded that the future belongs to communities that invest in their people, and tonight you’re going to meet these 40 leaders that are already building a future here,” Lee said. “Teachers, engineers, entrepreneurs, healthcare professionals, public safety leaders, and servant leaders. We’re not waiting on tomorrow. We’re building it today.”
One at a time, Lee introduced each honoree and gave a snapshot of their accomplishments and their impact on both their career field and their community.
“As you listen to all of their accomplishments and what they do, I’m going to invite you to ask yourself, ‘What can I imagine for our city and what’s the one step I can take?’ Because as you know, leadership is not a title, it’s a habit,” Lee said.
This year’s honorees were: Ana Garcia, Andrea Hanna, Bobbi Dodson, Bryan Morris, Chad Levi, Chase Sons, Chelsey Morris, Chris Adams, Christopher King, Colin Shuran, Derek Bowles, Dr. Alex Williams, Erin Sanders, Hannah-Marie Bond, Jake Beard, Jack Siegfried, Jacob Uehlein, Jessica Helton, Jordan Monroe, Julie Mitchell, Justus Sheffield, Karen King, Kathryn Delp, Kelsey Woods, Lori Henley, Madeline McLaughlin, Michelle Young, Myron Yonder, Raven Garner, Ryan French, Samantha Watters, Shane Charles, Shannon West, Tiffany Wiseman, Tony Glenn, Tosha Frost, Van Williams, Will Joyner, William Carpenter and William Garner.
