The Tullahoma Wildcats soccer team picked up two more wins since their 4-0 shutout win against Central Magnet on Sept. 16.  They won against Giles County 6-1, and against Warren County 6-0.

Giles County

This win against Giles marks their seventh in a row for the ‘Cats against the program, dating back to the 2019 season. They have dominated the goal margin through this stretch of wins, outscoring Giles 30-2. In their latest 6-1 win, they took over the contest in the second half, scoring four unanswered goals.

Two of the goals in the second 40 minutes of the game were scored by senior McLayne Bobo, who scored off a PK and an assist from junior Macy Marcel. The other two goals in the second half were scored by senior Avery Sisk and junior Faith Vincent, who scored off a long shot in the 51st minute.

The two goals in the first half were from the elite offensive abilities of Duncan and Bobo. Bobo scored on a header assist from Duncan, and Duncan scored on an assist from Bobo.

The JV team also had a great game, winning their matchup against Giles 6-0. The star of the matchup for Tullahoma was sophomore Finley Dacosta, who scored three goals in the match, two off breakaways and one from long distance, off a powerful shot that hit the back of the net.

Warren County

Tullahoma secured another win after their victory over Giles County, beating Warren County 6-0. There was a long lightning delay before the game between the Lady Wildcats and the Lady Pioneers, but that did not slow down the inevitable offensive onslaught of Tullahoma. They had full control of this contest from start to finish, scoring three unanswered goals in the first half and three more unanswered goals in the second half. In the game, the ‘Cats had a total of 15 shots on goal.

Senior Lexi Chamblee led Tullahoma in scoring in the contest with two goals. She had the first score of the game coming off a well-played corner kick from senior Leah Fogarty. Her other goal came late in the 73rd minute, stemming from another corner kick this time from senior Avery Sisk. Sisk also had a goal in the game in the first half, where she ripped a shot after a corner kick that was initially saved. She then followed up her shot and put her second attempt in the back of the net. Senior Jossalyn Garcia also scored off a corner kick in the first half, kicked by junior Macy Marcel.

The other two goals were scored by sophomore Kenzie Farrell, who scored off a long shot, and junior Faith Vincent, who scored off an assist from Brindley Duncan.

Tullahoma was dominant on their set pieces from corners, having a total of 13 in the game. They will look to continue this success in their next game against Spring Hill High School on Sept 25.
