The Tullahoma golf team in postseason play showed out. They were able to qualify for the regional tournament after performing well on Sept 22 at the district tournament. Here are the results from both the regional and district tournaments.
The Wildcats, to start postseason play, had a great finish in the district tournament. They secured a tie for second place and fell to third after a playoff with Lawrence County. Two of the standout players at the event for Tullahoma were seniors Brody Fulmer and Alex Miller. Miller posted a score of 74, and Fulmer posted a score of 77. The two have been putting together superb scores all year for the THS golf team.
“I am very proud of the way they each have led the team on the course throughout the 2025 season. Alex has been our low scorer in most of the competitions, displaying how the work put in does pay rewards in shooting lower scores. Brody has been an example of consistent play, through a fantastic short game, chipping and putting, which allows a player to score well when striking the ball inconsistently, but going low when hitting the full shots well,” said head coach of the Tullahoma golf team, Barry Bishop, regarding Miller and Fulmer.
“We do get Alex back next season, so I am looking forward with much anticipation to how his game continues to evolve, possibly into one of the best tournament players in THS Wildcat history!”
Both Fulmer and Miller were named to the all-district team this year.
The Wildcats, on Sept 29, competed at regionals and posted a combined score of 317. They were up against some impressive competition with three players posting scores in the 60s. Two of these scores came from the first place team at regionals, Brentwood High School. The Bears had an overall score of 281, with golfers Tripp Goodrich notching a score of 69 and Luke Purifoy having a score of 68.
The two lowest scores at the event for Tullahoma belonged to Miller and Fulmer. Fulmer had a score of 74, and Miller had a score of 72. The other three players on Tullahoma who helped bring this team to regionals were Hudson Stroop, Jesse Gillis, and Owen Weaver. Weaver had a score of 92, Gillis had a score of 86, and Stroop had a score of 85.
Congratulations to the Tullahoma Wildcats golf team on putting together another great season in 2025.
