United Way announces new ALICE Programs Director

The United Way of South Central Tennessee (UWSCTN) has announced the promotion of Haley Vaughn to Director of ALICE Programs. Vaughn has been an integral member of the UWSCTN team since the spring of 2023.

In her new role as Director of ALICE Programs, Vaughn will continue her work in overseeing United Way’s financial stability programs, including Launch Point and Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA). VITA is a volunteer-run tax prep assistance initiative that is free to clients with an annual household income of $80,000 or less.

In 2026, UWSCTN’s VITA services will be available in the full seven-county service area: Bedford, Cannon, Coffee, Lincoln, Moore, Rutherford and Warren counties. Launch Point, also available in all seven counties, is an 18-month program to improve financial stability for families through coaching.

Kristen Swann, President and CEO of UWSCTN, expressed her enthusiasm about Vaughn’s promotion.

“Her dedication and contributions have been invaluable to our organization, and she is deeply committed to making a positive difference in our community,” Swann said.
