In support of the Kiwanis International theme of “serving the children of the world”, the Highland Rim Kiwanis Club has donated $20,000 to the Bel-Aire PTO for the inclusive playground on the school’s campus.
The playground includes inclusive pieces of equipment for all children, including those with special needs.
Samantha Zimmerman, Bel-Aire PTO President was grateful for the Kiwanis donation.
“The 20,000 donation from Kiwanis is an incredible boost to our inclusive playground effort. This generous gift brings us closer to creating a space where every child, regardless of ability, can play, laugh and grow together. It’s more than funding; it’s a statement that our community believes in belonging for all. This support is helping us break barriers and build a space that celebrates every child’s right to belong!”
Dr. Clint Epley, Bel-Aire Elementary School Principal, echoed his appreciation for the Kiwanis support.
“We are so thankful for the extremely generous donation by the Highland Rim Kiwanis Club. This donation will prove pivotal in creating a space where all students at Bel-Aire and within our community can come to play and learn together. Thank you to all the members of the Kiwanis Club for making this wonderful donation happen!”
Highland Rim Kiwanis Club President Tracy Sergeant said, “Highland Rim Kiwanis Club is delighted to support Bel Aire Elementary School’s endeavor to build an accessible playground for all children to enjoy fun and play. Their goal is right in line with our own mission of dedication to improving the world one child and one community at a time.”
Those wishing to donate to the playground can designate a piece of playground equipment they wish to purchase in part or whole or can contribute to the overall project.
Those wishing to contribute to the playground are asked to make check payable to Bel-Aire School PTO and mail it to 504 Stone Blvd in Tullahoma.
