Local church plans fundraiser for fire victims

A Tullahoma church is rallying around a local elderly couple who recently lost everything in a house fire. Area residents Jerry and Gloria Carter lost everything in an October house fire that engulfed their Estill Springs home.
The Carters’ home caught fire the night of October 7 around 10 p.m. and resulted in a total loss including clothing, furniture, and other essentials. Their church, Calvary Apostolic Church of Tullahoma, plans a Chili Dinner and Benefit Auction on Saturday, November 15 to help the couple return their lives to normal.
The doors will open at 1 p.m. with the auction starting at around 4 p.m. All proceeds from this event will go directly to the Carters. The church is located at 151 Parham Boulevard in Tullahoma.
If you would like to donate to the fundraising auction, please reach out to Danette Hill at 931-273-1262. They’re looking for gift cards, gift baskets, gift certificates, and even cake and pie donations – since Thanksgiving will be right around the corner.
There is also a digital fundraiser online for those who cannot attend the November event. You can donate at the following vetted link.
