A place for grown-up tea parties

Many grown ladies have fond memories of having “tea parties” when they were little girls. They may have had parties with their dolls or stuffed animals, or their friends. Even if they didn’t have them when they were little, they might wish they could now.
Tullahoma now has a place for tea parties, as fancy as one might want to make it. The Tullahoma Tea Pot, located at 328 West Lincoln provides that experience. It is owned and operated by Candace Gardner, and she calls it her dream come true. Before opening the restaurant, she made and sold desserts around town, but always had her heart set on opening a specialty shop. Last May she opened.
One can purchase a deluxe tea party, complete with salad, main course, desserts, and drinks. She has feather boas and hats available to “dress up” the occasion. Or one can just come as they are and order off the regular menu of salads, soups, sandwiches, desserts, drinks, including, of course, hot tea.
The tables are all set with different themes, and one can even choose from her available place settings. There are tables for two up to tables for a group. She has already developed a following. Patrons agree that the food is delicious, the service is personal, and the atmosphere is fun. Grandmothers bring their granddaughters, friends bring friends, and families meet there as well.
The Tullahoma Tea Pot is a fun and unique venue for lunch. No need to reminisce about tea parties of years ago, they are still available today. It’s even more fun to be waited on, and not to have to do clean up afterwards.
