Tullahoma’s youth recently had an opportunity to learn from the pros with the Tullahoma Parks and Recreation Department’s fourth annual Wildcats and Friends Baseball Clinic.
The clinic took place on Saturday, Nov. 9, at JS3 Athletics, located at 208 N. Wall St., with two sessions for the age brackets of 7-10 and 11-14. This year’s professionals that were on hand for the clinic were Jordan Sheffield, Bryan Morris, Dewon Brazelton, Gary Phillips, Justus Sheffield, Jordan Parris, and Tony Sheffield.
“We had an incredible day at our Wildcats & Friends Baseball Clinic,” officials said in a statement. “From our youngest sluggers to our older athletes, everyone brought great energy, effort, and smiles.”
Organizers also thanked the clinic’s sponsors Rogers Insurance, JS3 Athletics and Sundrop Shoppe for helping to make the event possible, ranging from providing a facility and food for the staff.
“And of course, a special thank you to our MLB players who took the time to teach and inspire the next generation of athletes,” organizers said. “We’re so grateful for everyone who came out to make this clinic such a success. What a great day of baseball, learning, and fun!”
Organizers added they were grateful for the major leaguers for taking the opportunity to give back to the youth in the community.
“A tremendous thank you to the players, the sponsors, the rec department, and to JS3 Athletics for hosting this outstanding, one-of-a-kind event,” organizers said.
