The Annual Holiday Tour of Homes benefiting Tullahoma Day Care Center is planned for Sunday, Dec. 7. This year’s tour features three homes and the historic Grand Lux Inn.

Cost of the tour is $25 per person including children. As a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization, the event serves as the Center’s biggest fundraiser of the year. All proceeds go directly to cover operational expenses.  Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased online at www.tullahomadaycare.com. Tickets can also be purchased at Clayton’s Shoe Store, The Flower Shoppe, The Yellow Tulip Design, T. Michelle Clothiers, Smart Bank and Wellworth Bank or the day of the event at all venues.

The venues can be visited in any order between 1 and 5 p.m.  Homes on the tour include Jonathon and Whitney Gault, 425 Albemarle Drive; Brian and Cassie Bennett, 402 North Washington Street; Jack and Gail Dayton, 122 Woodmont Drive and business, The Grand Lux Inn owned by Adam and Lauren Brock, 212 East Lincoln Street.

“We are excited for these families to open their homes and business for the tour. The styles range from historical to a new build. These special spaces all have distinctive stories to tell that will be enjoyed by those who tour. Along with amazing holiday decor, ticket holders will see unique outdoor and entertaining spaces, plus history preserved,” said Lisa Harley, Tour chair.

There is also a silent auction benefiting the center. The silent auction includes a wide array of items including restaurant gift certificates, items from local businesses such as fine jewelry and bulk mulch and getaways. In addition, each center board member creates a themed basket to auction. The silent auction is held at The Atlantic, 205 NW Atlantic Street. Hours for the silent auction are 12:30 to 5:30 p.m.

Tullahoma Day Care Center provides affordable day care services for children between the ages of 2 1/2 to 5 years. The goal of the center is to ensure the children are kindergarten ready and often receives high praise from the Tullahoma School System on the preparedness of the students. The center is open to everyone.  There are no income restrictions.  What makes the Center more accessible is the lower tuition rates and programs for tuition assistance to help those who may need financial help.  Community support is the reason we have been able to thrive for over 50 years,” said board member, Reba Walters. “We so appreciate the businesses and individuals who believe in our cause.”
