Following an outstanding individual season and as a whole, a premier player of the Tullahoma girls’ soccer team, senior Avery Sisk, announced her commitment to Motlow Community College.

Sisk, this past season for the Lady Wildcats soccer team, was an integral piece in helping them in all of their successes–winning a district championship, regional championship, having an overall record of 20-2, and advancing all the way to the state championship game. Sisk, on the season, had the third most goals on the team (16) and the second most assists (10). She was one of only two players on the Lady Wildcats roster with both 10 or more goals and assists in the season.

During the team’s postseason run, she had a few notable performances, including a game against White County in the regional playoffs and a game against Elizabethton High School in the state playoffs. Against the Lady Warriors, she displayed her playmaking prowess, getting a team-high three assists in the contest. Against Elizabethton, she scored a goal. Her lone goal in the match essentially sealed the deal in Tullahoma, getting the win and advancing to the state semis. She raced past Elizabethton’s final line of defense and sniped a shot past their keeper that gave the Cats’ their final goal in a 4-1 win.

Sisk’s future team, Motlow Community College, has proven to be an elite team at their level. In their past five seasons, they have won 13 or more games and have not lost over five games. This past season overall, they ended their year with a record of 15-4-2. The addition of Sisk’s versatile game will definitely help bolster this team’s overall skill, as they look to continue their trek of success as a program next year.
