Marvancy Johnson Jr. named to TNFCA All-State Team

GRAY DEYOSports Writer

In the wake of running back Marvancy Johnson Jr. wrapping up his career as a member of the Tullahoma football team, the star senior running back has racked up many awards and received many recognitions for his play. He can now add something else to this list. Johnson Jr. was recently named as part of a TNFCA All-State team.

Going back well before the 2025 football season, Johnson Jr. was on the radar of many people around the Tennessee High School football scene for what he accomplished in his junior season. 1,500 total yards, 18 TDs, and 7.1 yards per carry average, with stats like these, it is hard to go unnoticed. This landed him on a preseason watch list, and although it was good to see Johnson Jr. ranked as one of the best RBs around going into his fourth year, it felt like he was still getting slighted somewhat for his talents by where he was ranked. Johnson Jr. made sure to leave no room for discussion regarding what he is as a player this season, with his name being slated on the TNFCA All- State Team for the Class of 5A.
