Richard Allan Ray, 81

Richard Allan Ray of Tullahoma passed away on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026 at Bailey Manor of Winchester at the age of 81.

Mr. Ray was born in Langdale, AL to the late John Frank and Iverene Hamil Ray. During his life, Allan served his country proudly as a member of the United States Air Force for 21 years, and was also a member of the American Legion, and a Freemason. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Ray; one brother, John Franklin Ray; and one brother-in-law, Bill Parker. Mr. Ray is survived by two sons, John (Terry) Ray, and James “JD” Ray; one brother, James “Jimmy” (Trish) Ray; one sister, Linda Parker; grandchildren, Melissa Ray, Ben (Lauren) Fults, Jocelyn (Jeffery) Long, Kayla Gravatt, Courtney (Lexi) Hooks; great-grandchildren, Elaina Long, Case Fults, Harper Fults, Arthur Long, and Avery Hudson; and nieces and nephews, Dustin (Elysabeth) Ray, Sam (Michelle) Ray, Becky (Doug) Carter, Jenny Batson, and Jeffery Batson.

Visitation for Mr. Ray will be held Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026 from 3-5 p.m. at Kilgore Funeral Home. For those who wish, the family asks that donations in Allan’s memory be made to Bailey Manor of Winchester which will go towards a memorial bench in Mr. Ray’s honor.
