After the conclusion of their regular season, the Tullahoma girls’ basketball team had two players named to the District 12 All-District Team: senior McLayne Bobo and sophomore Lizzy Sharpton. This is the second consecutive season the two have been listed as a part of this team.
Lizzy Sharpton
The second-year Lady Wildcat, Lizzy Sharpton, has brought the same elite defensive skillset that she had as a freshman, along with an offensive game that has grown in spades. Her improved offensive bag has helped make her one of the biggest scoring threats on the team. She recently had one of her best offensive games this season in a matchup against Giles County, where she had 15 points.
Sharpton also provides tremendous versatility for Tullahoma. She is able to act as both a guard and an interior player, with her being one of the best rebounders on the team, and her defensive skill allowing her to stick with all opposing guards and the majority of post players that Tullahoma goes against.
McLayne Bobo
Leading scorer for the Lady Wildcats, McLayne Bobo had an impressive regular season. Her ability to bully other players and get a bucket in the paint, paired with a great three-point shot, made her not only a tough guard for opponents this season but in the entirety of her high school career. Bobo this season hit a historic career mark, logging over 1,500 career points.
A couple of Bobo’s best games this season were against Cannon County and Marshall County. In one game against Cannon Co., Bobo scored 21 points, and in the ‘Cats’ first matchup of two against Marshall, she had 27 points.
