Amaya Sharp commits to Columbia State University

Senior pitcher for the Tullahoma softball team, Amaya Sharp, back in January officially put pen to paper and committed to Columbia State University.
Sharp was a standout piece of the success of the 2025 THS softball team. In her junior season, Sharp had a 4.67 ERA through 28 games. Yes, that is right, 28. The Lady Wildcat, who had the second-most appearances, trailed Sharp’s eye-popping total with seven appearances.
Through Sharp’s many outings, she was a dynamo at times in tearing through opposing teams’ lineups, as she recorded a total of 96 strikeouts. One of her best games came against Central Magnet High School. In this contest, Sharp just allowed four hits, two runs, and had 9 strikeouts. Sharp got the win in this contest, adding to a total tally of 18 W’s that she had in all of 2025. This win total was the highest mark by a pitcher in the history of Tullahoma High School softball. Sharp will look to add onto an already impressive resume in the upcoming softball season, with the Lady Wildcats playing their first game in less than a couple of weeks against South Pittsburgh on March 3.
When this THS softball comes to an end, next calendar year, Sharp will be joining the Columbia State program with one of her fellow senior teammates, Addye Norman. It will be fun to see the two who have done so much for this THS program continue to play at the collegiate level in 2027.
