The Tullahoma Wildcat basketball team headed to the state tournament recently, and while they are having unprecedented success on the court–they are making a difference in a young fan’s life.
According to Gigi Robison, eight-year-old Patrick Alderman loves THS basketball. His mother, Katie Alderman, is a teacher at THS. You will find Patrick, in his uniform, standing behind the goal retrieving balls before the game and cheering the Cats on during the game. He has a special relationship with the players.
Recently, the high school team showed up to cheer Patrick on in his Jr. NBA game. They came on the same night that they had just won their district game. They could have gone anywhere to celebrate, but they showed up to make a little boy’s night.
“As a family, we are thankful for a community, coaches, players and culture that is raising successful basketball players but even finer young men,” Robison said. “Everyone could see the joy in Patrick’s face when they came to his game!”
