Horse Play isn’t horsin’ around with luncheon fundraiser

Local nonprofit Horse Play, Inc. is making the call for those wanting to help support the organization by ordering a lunch for its annual fundraiser luncheon.
Horse Play, Inc. relies solely on the generosity of the local community, and this year’s luncheon serves as the nonprofit organization’s primary fundraiser.
“This is one of our biggest fundraiser events of the year and every lunch purchased directly helps support our program in a big way,” Horse Play officials said.
This year’s luncheon will be offering a healthy, light option instead of a traditional dinner. Those who order a lunch box will receive a hoagie sandwich with chips and a dessert. Lunches are $12 per person, and the last day to place an order is Monday, March 30. Curbside pick-up will be available at Grace Baptist Church, located at 1901 Ovoca Road, on Friday, April 10, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Those who order five or more lunches will have the option to have them delivered.
Anyone wanting to submit their order can either call TOP Rehab at 931-455-5189 or call Loretta Christian at 961-581-0812. If writing checks, checks are asked to be written to Horse Play and mail to or drop off at TOP Rehab at 2110 N. Jackson St., Tullahoma to reserve your meals.
Another option to help Horse Play, Inc. is to order an Egg my Yard package. Horse Play helpers will egg your yard on Saturday, April 4, so your children can wake up Sunday morning to treat stuffed eggs. A five-dozen package is $70.00 and a two-dozen package is $35.00. Please place an order to Program Director Hollie Holder at 931-307-0774 or email her at horseplayinc.programdirector@gmail.com. The last day to place an order for this fundraiser is Friday, April 3.
“All fundraisers support our Therapeutic riding program which serves children with disabilities,” Holder said. “Every dollar we fundraise supports property management, horse care, operational costs, and participant sponsorships so that we can offer these services free of charge to children in our program. Please help us keep the barn doors open and continue to share the gift of horses to children with special needs.”
Horse Play, Inc. is a local nonprofit organization that provides therapeutic riding and hippotherapy program for children with special needs that is totally free for the children and their families. The organization provides free rehabilitative horseback riding opportunities for children with mental and/or physical challenges from Bedford, Coffee, Franklin, Grundy, Lincoln, and Moore counties.
