What comes to mind when you hear the word change? A zillion things come to my head mind when I hear the word CHANGE! It is one of my favorite words, and I think of it as an acronym as it can be used in so many situations. As an acronym, it can apply to many situations such as “Citizens having a new growth experience” or “Children having a new growth experience” or even “Communities having a new growth experience”.

Ivividly remember my first flight. Chattanooga to Memphis, in the late 1960s. My oldest sister had moved there, and my mom and I went to see her. As a kid, I was fascinated. The plane was just like I had seen in the commercials: smiling stewardesses fetching me food and drinks, and space age transportation much like the Jetsons cartoons.

If there is ever a time in history to be cognizant of those around you and even in your circle, it is now. I believe the enemy is on special assignment to create a hierarchy within society that causes divide, unrest and hurt. I am currently studying the book of Daniel in which King Nebuchadnezzar ordered his court to bring him young Israelite boys so that he could teach them the language and literature of the Babylonians. He would assign them daily amount of food and wine from the king’s table and train them for three years to which they would then enter the king’s service. If you have studied the book of Daniel, you may remember that Daniel and his friends refused the king’s food and instead followed the dietary laws in which God had spoken.
