Betty Jane Syler, 80, of Hillsboro, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, June 13, 2023.

She was born on Jan. 19, 1943, in Franklin County, to the late Charlie Layton and Wilma (David) Luttrell.

Funeral service for Betty will be held on Saturday, June 17 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Dan Syler officiating.  Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Moore-Cortner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
