Christopher Lenn Weddington, Sr., 50, of Lynchburg, passed away on Friday, November 3, 2023, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.  He was born in Shelbyville on March 16, 1973.  Christopher had previously worked as a concrete truck driver at Tennessee Valley Ready Mix and ICP, and most recently for Smyrna Ready Mix.  An avid outdoorsman, he thoroughly enjoyed fishing, a hobby he never tired of.  He also enjoyed watching dirt track racing.  But most of all, Christopher cherished the time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his father, James Carl Weddington.  Christopher is survived by his loving wife of thirty years, Rebecca Weddington; children, C.J. (Kelsey) Weddington, Kayla (Houston) Burt, and Terry (Maddie) Weddington; grandchildren, Reiley, Owen, Charlotte, Olive, Everleigh, and J.J.; mother, Thursa Weddington; brother, Jimmy (Stephanie) Weddington; father and mother-in-law, Wayne and Evelyn Reese; brother and sister-in-law, Jeremy (Suzie) Hensley, nephews, Nathan, Chance, Wyatt, and Zach; and niece, Allison. 

Funeral services were held on Monday, Nov. 6 in the Chapel of Jennings-Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Michael Weddington officiating.  Interment followed at Rosebank Cemetery in Flat Creek.
