Marjorie Constance Sulzer Collier, of Tullahoma, died Jan. 4, 2024. She was the widow of Herman Elton Collier who died Sept. 25, 1995.

She was also preceded in death by her sister, Janet Elizabeth Horton. She is survived by her children, Clark Kent (husband of Betty Lynn Ross), James Logan, Carolyn Griffith (wife of Howard Frederick), Mary Catherine (wife of Joseph A. Barnes), and Robert Craig (husband of Suzanne Chamblee), ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Her parents were Elmer Griffith Sulzer and Dorotha Kent Barnes.

Majorie was born in Madison, Indiana on July 20, 1926 and grew up in Lexington, Kentucky. She received a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kentucky and a Master of Science in Teaching degree from MTSU. She moved to Tullahoma in 1951 when her husband was employed as an engineer at AEDC. A certified professional engineer in the State of Tennessee, she worked at Arnold Center for ARO, Inc., Corp of Engineers and US Air Force. She was a founder of the Historic Preservation Society of Tullahoma and Friends of Short Springs (State Natural Area) and a member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church choir. Marjorie was co-author of the book Coffee County from Arrowheads to Rockets, and she edited the Tullahoma Time-Table, a publication of the Historic Society for many years. She appreciated and enjoyed historical architecture. Marjorie served two terms as Alderperson for the City of Tullahoma and one term on the Tullahoma Utilities Board.

Visitation was held on Monday, Jan. 8, 2024 at Kilgore Funeral Home.
