Sambo Pickett, 54, was born on April 2, 1969, and left this world on Feb. 1, 2024, doing what he loved to do, driving a dump truck. 

Funeral services were held on Monday, Feb. 5, at 3 p.m. from the chapel at Moore Cortner Funeral Home with interment following at Franklin Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please do a random act of kindness, stop by a school and give money to kids’ unpaid lunch balances, or call someone you haven’t spoken to in a while and share a few laughs.

Moore-Cortner Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
