Myra Darden Watson Obituary

Myra Darden Watson, age 66, of Tullahoma, passed away on Feb. 26, 2024, due to terminal cancer. She was born on June 4, 1957, in Tullahoma, to parents Woodrow and Aleene Darden who preceded her in death.

Myra is also preceded by her brother, Benny Darden; niece Renae Darden; and nephew Daniel Darden.

She is survived by her siblings, Jerry (Gail) Darden, Martha (Bob) Brasier, Robert (Juanita, who has passed), Patsy (Leonard) Broadrick; daughter, Amy (Phillip) Peters; and sisters-in-law, Faye (Bill) Warren and Debra Darden.

Myra spent 26 years dedicated to her career at Jack Daniel’s. She was known for her fun, loving and caring nature. She graduated high school at Manchester Central High, Class of 1975, and obtained her associate degree at Motlow State Community College. She loved to celebrate every holiday with family and made sure each event was memorable. Her hobbies included traveling with her daughter and husband, spending time with her neighbors and watching her grand dogs.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 1, from 3 – 7 p.m.  at Tullahoma Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 2. Family will be receiving guests as early as noon and the funeral will begin at 1 p.m. Burial will follow funeral services at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory can be made to Highland Baptist Church in Tullahoma by contacting Amy Jackson.
