Jeffrey Kent Joslin Obituary
Jeffrey Kent Joslin, 66, of Estill Springs passed away early in the morning on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at his home.
Born June 12, 1957 in Bicknell, Indiana, he graduated from North Knox High School in 1975, then went on to attend and graduate from Purdue University in 1979 with a degree in crop science, and as a member of Beta Theta Pi Fraternity. Jeff spent 44 years in the agriculture industry, 41 of those years in central Illinois. First in sales, and later as a digital agriculture specialist. An avid guitar player, singer, and motorcycle rider, he loved snow skiing and all water sports (most recently, wake surfing!) Jeff was passionate about volunteer work, and serving others. A constant fixture at church on the worship team and leadership teams, he also served fervently as a volunteer at The Empty Tomb in Champaign, IL for over 25 years. Jeff was a dedicate husband, father, and follower of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenny and June Joslin; grandparents, Carl and Belle Joslin, and Calvin and Luella McCoy; and in-laws Bill and Bea Carlson.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Chris Joslin; sons, Cal and Beck Joslin; brother, Jay Joslin (Cendy); sister, Jo Lori Singleton (Jay); and brothers-in-law, Dave Carlson (Carol), and Randy Carlson (Sandy).
Visitation for Jeff will be held on Saturday, May 18 from 1- 2 p.m. (CT) at First Methodist Church of Tullahoma. A memorial service will immediately follow at 2 p.m. An additional service will be held at the Mattis Avenue Free Methodist Church in Champaign, IL on Saturday, May 25 with visitation from 10-11 a.m. (CT), followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. For those who wish, the family asks that donations in Jeff’s memory be made to either First Methodist Church of Tullahoma, or Mattis Avenue Free Methodist Church of Champaign.
