Alan Roy Penn Obituary
Alan Roy Penn, known affectionately as Daddy Penn, passed away on Aug. 1, 2024, in Tullahoma at the age of 89.
Born on May 24, 1935, in Normandy, Alan spent his formative years there before serving in the U.S. Navy, embodying the virtues of loyalty and dedication that define our brave servicemen and women. His final hours were spent surrounded by his two daughters and his grandchildren.
Alan was known for his vibrant and outspoken personality, ensuring there was never a dull moment in his presence. His life was filled with the joy of his family and the pride of his military service. He leaves behind a legacy of love and spirited stories that will continue to inspire his family and all who knew him.
He is survived by his brother James Penn, his daughters Linda Bobo and Tina Rogers (Troy), and his sons Roger Penn (Jennifer) and Michael Penn (Rena).10 grandchildren & 14 great grandchildren. Alan was preceded in death by his beloved wife Doris, his son Jerry, his parents Sam and Bertha, his sister Ruth, his brother Jack, and his grandson Kevin
A memorial service will be announced at a later date, where family, friends, and fellow veterans can come together to honor Alan’s life.
