Josephine D. Farrar Obituary

Josephine D. Farrar, of Tullahoma, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2024 at her home, surrounded by her family at the age of 87.

Mrs. Farrar was born in Pikeville to the late James and Martha May Husky Dickey. During her life, Mrs. Farrar served her family as a homemaker, and was a member of Hoover’s Grove Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, Josephine was preceded in death by her husband, Howard E. Farrar; one son, Howard Eugene Farrar; three brothers, Hugh Garner, Bobby Dickey, and Curtis Dickey; and three sisters, Judy Mosley, Virene Watkins, and Edith West. She is survived by her five children, Jerry Farrar (Missy), Dianna Hoefer (Rodney), Tim Farrar (Jenny), Debbie Eggleston (Bubba), and Andy Farrar (Amy); fourteen grandchildren, Michael, Tyler, Logan, Bryce, Laura, Karen, Kyle, Drew, Bryan, Beth, Haley, Haden, Garrett, and Ethan; and 10 great-grandchildren, Alissa, Leanna, Olivia, Ellie, Emmaline, Amelia, Aria, Jackson, William, and Kingston.

Visitation for Mrs. Farrar will be held on Thursday, Nov. 14 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Kilgore Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1:00pm in the Kilgore Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Jim Sanders officiating. Burial will follow at Hoover’s Grove Cemetery in Moore County. For those who wish, the family asks that donations in Josephine’s memory be made to the Multi-County Cancer Support Network.
