Susan M. Sons, 54, of Estill Springs, passed this life on Friday, Nov. 15, 2024 at Summit Medical Center in Hermitage at the age of 54.  

Susan was the daughter of the late Richard L. Sons and Linda Helton Sons Brandon, who survives. She loved music and Elvis was her favorite singer. She also enjoyed joking around with her family and spending time with her cats, traveling and doing art projects. 

In addition to her father, Susan was preceded in death by her stepfather, Monroe “Moe” Brandon; maternal grandmother, Musa Ray Helton; brother-in-law, Andy Goodman and special uncles, Eugene Helton and Bobby Fuller.  

Susan is survived by her mother, Linda S. Brandon of Estill Springs; sisters, Sherri Hill and her husband, Tracy of Tullahoma and Tonya Goodman of Estill Springs; stepsister, Tammy Luna of Tullahoma; stepbrother, Jeff Brandon of Tullahoma and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 20 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services with Shaun Lewis officiating with burial to follow in the Head of Hurricane Cemetery in Lynchburg. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Nov. 19 from 5 – 8 p.m. in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services.
