Donald Ray Hardy Obituary
Donald Ray Hardy, 78, of Estill Springs passed away on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025, at Southern TN Medical Center in Winchester.
He was born on Feb. 1, 1947, in Sylacauga, Ala., to the late Fred and Lurley (Griffin) Hardy. In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his daughter, Stephanie Gladden; his twin brother, Ronald Hardy; and his brothers, Ricky Hardy and Aubrey Hardy.
Donald graduated from B.B High School in Sylacauga, Alabama, and year after high school, graduated from Anniston, AL Trade School. He was known for his kind and gentle nature. He enjoyed spending time at the Senior Citizens Center, fishing, woodworking, and playing pool. Donald worked as a designer at Jacobs Engineering, where he dedicated nearly 40 years before retiring in 2014.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Hardy of Estill Springs; his stepdaughter, Bonita (Keith) Scholey of Milton, Ky.; his sisters, Janice (Jimmy) Higgins of Mesa, Ariz., and Joan Leach of Sylacauga, Ala.; his grandchildren, Ashley, Brandon, Christopher Lord, Kimberly Lord, and Kathy Kemp of Alabama; three great-grandchildren; as well as nephews, Aaron (Casey) Hardy of Columbia, Calif., and Cameron Hardy of Atlanta, Ga.
There are no services scheduled at this time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Donald’s memory to the Coffee County Senior Citizens Center, 410 N. Collins St., Tullahoma, TN 37388. Online condolences may be shared at www.weltonfuneralhome.com.
