Richard “Dick” William Pack Obituary

Richard “Dick” William Pack, 79, of Tullahoma passed away peacefully on March 12, surrounded by his loving family. Dick was born on June 8, 1945, to the late Bill and Bettie Pack.

He was a graduate of Tullahoma High School and Tennessee Tech. He proudly served in the United States Navy from 1966 to 1969 with a tour in Vietnam on the USS Weiss. Dick was honored to officiate high school football alongside all four of his brothers and their father. He received an Award of Merit in recognition of 50 years of service as a TSSAA official. Additionally, he officiated basketball games for many years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bill Pack Jr., and his nephew, Stan Pack. He is survived by a large and loving family, including his devoted wife of 47 years, Nell; his daughters, Elizabeth (Will) Colvert and Emily (Brian) Fair; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Brayden, Thomas, Zackary (Robin), Megan, Alec, and Rieley; his great-grandson, Elliott; his brothers, twin Bob (Grace), Kenny (Janie), and Pat (Ginny Lynn); his sister, Ginny (Dan) Wehrle; his sisters-in-law, Mary Evelyn Pack, Liz (Jim) Grove, and Douglas (Gordon) Jones; as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Dick took no greater joy than being a husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed traveling with his family and playing golf with his brothers and friends at every opportunity. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church for many years.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at Kilgore Funeral Home in Tullahoma from 1–4 p.m. with a memorial service to immediately follow at 4 p.m. with Tim McGehee officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Bill and Bettie Pack Memorial Scholarship (PO Box 2874, Tullahoma, TN 37388), Alive Hospice (718 Patterson Street, Nashville, TN 37203), or a charity of your choice.
