Clifford “Darrel” Nelson, 69, of Cowan, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Darrel was born on Dec. 4, 1955, in Bridgeport, Ala., to Betty Jo (Jones) Nelson and the late Jerry William Nelson. 

Visitation was held Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2025, with funeral service following with John Barker and John Butler officiating.  Interment followed in Cowan Montgomery Cemetery.  If you wish to make a memorial donation instead of flowers, please sent then to St. Jude Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
