2027 seniors in the spotlight: Patrick Riddle

The Tullahoma High School football team will have a new starting quarterback in 2026, and in all likelihood, that will be rising senior Patrick Riddle. He had many promising moments in his limited run in his junior season.

Riddle played the role of backup quarterback for Tullahoma in 2025 for the majority of the season. While the role kept him mostly off the field, when he got chances to go on the gridiron, he showed he is a player Tullahoma football fans can get excited about.

Riddle has the ability to create big plays with the combination of his arm talent and the threat of his legs. Going back to the 2025 preseason finale, the Wildcats had against the Summit Spartans, Riddle displayed this. While under pressure, Riddle rolled to his left and delivered a dot to rising junior Zion Jeffrey. The two converted on the highlight play of the night, a 39-yard touchdown strike.

Riddle in the regular season went 27-45 passing, had 294 passing yards, threw three TDs, and threw two interceptions.

Riddle is also good at short yardage situations. Many times in the 2025 season, the Wildcats would have Riddle brute his way to the end zone through a sea of defenders for two-point conversions. He also had one rushing TD in the regular season that came in a 57-23 win against Coffee County Central High School.

It will be exciting to see the Wildcats ’offense with Riddle as the signal caller, and the opening kickoff to the THS 2026 season is coming fast. Their first game is on Aug. 21 against Shelbyville Central High School.
