Jeffrey Curtis Gruber, 71

Jeffrey Curtis Gruber of Tullahoma passed from this life at the age of 71 at his home on May 8. 2026, after a courageous and valiant battle with cancer with his family by his side.
He was born on March 7, 1955, in Allentown, Pennsylvania to the late Arthur and Audrey (Seher) Gruber. Jeffrey grew up in Willingboro, New Jersey and graduated from John F. Kennedy High School. He attended Burlington County College for one year, then married his high school sweetheart, then enlisting in the U.S. Army for seven years. Jeffery had two tours of duty and discharged Honorably, moved back home to Willingboro, New Jersey to attend college on the GI Bill. He also attended Trenton State College (aka) the College of New Jersey. He graduated Cum Laude with degrees, in Political Science and Economics attending classes by day and working nights at a Copper Circuit Factory. In a little more than a year after graduation he was hired by the State of New Jersey to work as a computer Programmer, he worked for the Department of Treasury for the state. Within three years’ time he was recruited by NASA to work at the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama, he spent the next few years working for NASA. Then the international company who developed the computer language Jeffrey became expert in hired him directly to travel all around the United States and Europe completing projects for the company. Before long he was travelling for them teaching classes to major National Corporations, major Universities, State and multiple Federal Government agencies. Jeffrey spent 41 years as a Computer Programmer/ IT Developer. Not to be outdone, later in life he attended Nashville School of Lawand graduated with a Doctorate of Jurisprudence. Jeffrey opened up a boutique law practice in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, with his practice specializing in Family, Juvenile, and Criminal Law, covering Rutherford, Coffee, and Warren Counties. Then duty called, duty to the country and family, he left his practice and returned back to IT. His expertise was needed in his language, and he spent the last twenty years in State Governments, Universities, and Federal Government assignments. Jeffrey belonged to numerous civic and professional organizations, throughout his life too numerous to mention.
Jeffrey was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Debra (Gruber) Toutant, and a brotherin- law Larry Pagani.
He is survived by his wife Angela (Romanelli) Gruber of almost 52 years, three sons and a daughter-in-law. Christopher and Lisa, Patrick and Esperanza, Douglas and Danielle Gruber. Ten grandchildren, Zacharey and wife (Chelsea), Monica, Madeline, Andrew, Alaina, Aubrey, Medow, Lily (Gruber) Baxter and husband (Joseph), Holden and Gabrielle Gruber. Three Great Grandchildren, Hazel Mason, and Eleanore. Jeffrey is also survived by his sisters Terri Pagani and Patricia Ryder, one brother Timothy Gruber.
Funeral services were private for family and close friends, it was held at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church with internment at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Tullahoma, Tennessee.
Father Michael Murphy of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Tullahoma, Tennessee officiated at both church and graveside services.
Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home was assisting the family with the arrangements.
