Quit Explaining
K
‘But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses, in stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings; By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned, By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,By honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and yet true.” 2 Corinthians 6:4-8.
Are you exhausted trying to explain yourself to those who can’t understand your purpose? Have you spent countless hours trying to get others to see things through your lens? Have you become weary to your words falling upon deaf ears? I can promise that you that God is well aware of the struggle and aggravation. After all, He placed that calling upon your heart. I was recently made mindful of a very important truth in life, one that can often be overlooked in today’s society – it is complacency. I understand this word can be viewed in a negative context; however, God has revealed to me the very core of His love through complacency. Christian complacency means that no matter what happens, you are fully self-satisfied with your current personal effort in pursuing Christ. Quit trying to explain yourself, your vision and your dreams to people who are not on the same voyage as you. They will never be able to see your worth or value, to be honest, they truly may not even know their own.
Your spiritual anointing agitates their demons and causes them to shudder when you walk in the room. Don’t waste another breath entertaining those who will never know the depth of your relationship with Christ – your actions will always speak louder than words. Your pureness, your kindness, your love and your righteousness will be magnified before you as a witness to the King that is inside of you. Even when they may think they have buried you in lies, accusations and falsehoods, you must remember that you still have nothing to prove. God will always redeem those who are persecuted for His sake and that alone should give you rest in your time of tribulation. “Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 5:10.
When you come to a place of complacency with who you are in Christ instead of this world, you will walk with your head held higher, a joy to your step and a resilient spirit to the darts of the enemy. My friend, quit allowing others to dim your light with their opinions of you. You are made for such a time as this and that dream that is in your heart is ready to be birthed. Quit begging people to comprehend what God has only shown you – it is you He trusted. It is time that you become complacent in your beautiful identity in Christ and see how unique your journey is. I know it seems as though your future rests in the enemy’s understanding, but if you will keep pressing forward you will soon see that your future only rests in your understanding of the faithfulness of our Father. The only thing left to prove is the promise He has asked you to deliver.
“Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; for He is faithful that promised.” Hebrews 10:23.
Blessings,
Kayla
