Four Tullahoma offensive players featured for performances on Friday night

Wildcat football players Lucas Reed, Marvancy Johnson, Sam Bobo, and Alex Bobo were all featured in The Tennessean for their games on Friday night against Cleveland High School. Here is a breakdown of their individual performances on the night, as well as what they have contributed to the Wildcats thus far this season.

Lucas Reed

Senior Lucas Reed has been exactly what you want in a senior starting quarterback—cool, calm, and collected. He does not overdo things, but he will take calculated shots to allow his playmakers to make plays. Against the Blue Raiders on Friday, he went 8-17 with two touchdown passes. In the Coffee Pot game, he went 12-15 for 260 passing yards, three passing TDs, and one rushing TD. He has shown a lot of improved development from a year and go and looks more than capable of leading Tullahoma to one of their best seasons in school history.

Sam Bobo

Senior Sam Bobo has been a great safety all year for the Wildcats, and on Friday night, he had his breakout performance on the stat sheet. Against the Blue Raiders, he had three interceptions. This ups his total to four interceptions on the season. His other pick came against Shelbyville Central in the season opener, where he picked off his cousin Stephen Bobo. Not only is he an outstanding player at reading the eyes of the quarterback, but he is also a great communicator. He does a great job at calling out opposing player movement and helps get his guys in spots to succeed.

Alex Bobo

Alex Bobo has proved to be a great WR1 for the Wildcats. In the team’s latest contest, he had four receptions for 87 yards and two touchdowns. He has great route running and gets open more times than not when Tullahoma opts to throw it. With him and Johnson out on the field together, it makes this team awfully hard to stop.

Marvancy Johnson

Senior RB Marvancy Johnson is doing exactly what many thought he’d do and then some. That being to build off an impressive junior season and put up even bigger stats in his last season for Tullahoma in 2025. That goal and expectation is a big one, given what he did in year three. In his junior season, he rushed for 1,465 yards and had 17 TDs. Right now, through three games, he has put up 647 yards of total offense–433 rushing and 214 yards receiving–and eight touchdowns. He is currently on track to smash his stats from a season ago. His performance against Cleveland that was highlighted in the Tennessean he had 24 carries for 214 yards and three touchdowns.
