The Seafood Place, a Tullahoma staple, was recently featured as one of the top seafood restaurants in Tennessee with no-frills necessary.
Travel website Family Destinations Guide recently put out a list of the top nine seafood places in Tennessee “that don’t need fancy frills to impress.”
According to the list, The Seafood Place placed fifth among other restaurants from Nashville, Memphis, Kingsport, Smyrna, Madison, Lebanon and Pigeon Forge.
In the listing, Family Destinations Guide referred to The Seafood Place as a hidden gem, as it praised the restaurant’s no-frills storefront and diner, its options on the menu and how word of mouth made it a must-visit for seafood fans.
Tucked away in downtown Tullahoma, The Seafood Place proves good things come in small packages.
“What makes this place special is the small-town charm combined with big-city quality,” Tanner Wilkes of Family Destinations Guide said. “The friendly staff remembers regular customers and treats newcomers like old friends.”
Upon learning of making the top nine, The Seafood Place put out a message on its Facebook thanking the customers.
“We have to thank you customers,” the message read on Facebook. “Not only did we find out we were voted Tullahoma’s Finest Restaurant but we have also been featured in Family Designation Guide!”
The Seafood Place is located at 105 NW Atlantic St. Its business hours are 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and closed on Sunday through Tuesday. For more information, visit The Seafood Place’s website or check out The Seafood Place on Facebook.
